Choose the next useful session
Turn broad goals into a practical next rep, whether you are working on recall, calm greetings, leash skills, or settling at home.
How ModDog uses AI
ModDog uses AI-assisted coaching to help turn your dog's age, breed tendencies, goals, and training history into practical sessions you can follow at home.
Coaching, not hype
Most dog owners do not need more videos. They need help deciding what to practice today, how to make it easier or harder, and what to do when a session does not go as planned.
ModDog is built to make that process more specific to the dog and household in front of you. It keeps the focus on clear, repeatable training—not on AI for its own sake.
The approach is shaped by ModDog co-founder and dog training expert Steve Haynes, who has trained more than 20,000 dogs. Meet Steve and learn about the training principles behind ModDog.

Boundaries matter

For sudden behavior changes, safety concerns, aggression, intense fear, or any possible health issue, start with a veterinarian or qualified behavior professional.
Common questions
No. ModDog is designed to make everyday coaching more accessible and consistent. It does not replace a qualified trainer, behavior professional, or veterinarian when their expertise is needed.
It is built for day-to-day puppy and dog training: making a plan, practicing skills, working through common behavior challenges, and keeping track of what is improving.
It cannot diagnose medical conditions, safely evaluate an emergency, or replace an in-person assessment for serious aggression, fear, pain, or sudden changes in behavior. In those cases, consult a veterinarian or qualified behavior professional.
ModDog helps you create a structured record of the sessions and skills you practice. We have issued our first training credential and are continuing to develop the verification experience. A ModDog credential should not be treated as a substitute for any organization’s own required evaluation or paperwork.
